Hunter Kennedy
I've spent twenty years working with land departments at upstream oil and gas companies, most of it in the acquisition, management, and divestiture of mineral and royalty interests in Texas and New Mexico.
Somewhere along the way I got tired of watching good land work get bottlenecked by bad data. So I started building — county records automation, document extraction, regulatory data pipelines, screening models. Not as a side interest; it's now most of what clients hire me for. The land background is what makes the tools any good. A system that doesn't understand a depth severance or a proportionate reduction clause will produce confident, wrong answers all day long.
